The Lord of the Rings, by J.R.R. Tolkien

This is basically a trilogy, a tale of triumph in the most unfeasible situations. This book is a must-read because it has a beautiful narrative of middle-earth. It is one of the greatest epic fantasies. The Dark Lord, Sauron has gathered all the Rings of Power for him, through which he means to rule the middle-earth.

To Kill a Mockingbird, by Harper Lee

To Kill a Mockingbird is a book that every book lover has read at least once. It was published in 1960, and it is a timeless classic that explores human behaviour as well as the collective conscience in the early 20th century of the Deep South. It is one of the best novels because it shows the humour interweaving the fragile strands of prejudice, hatred, hypocrisy, love, and innocence.

Gone with the Wind, by Margaret Mitchell

This is one of the greatest historical reads that may also hold good for your self-quarantine days. The narrative is agonizingly vivid. Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austen

The representative Imaginary list of great books mostly includes Pride and Prejudice and it is not at all an exaggeration. Pride and Prejudice deserve that status. It is about a romance in a world with the utmost importance of manners and courtesy between two highly opposed characters. It is descriptive, lush, and brilliant. The story is so engaging that you cannot put it down before finishing it. The intelligent characters will give you a pearl of lifetime wisdom to which you will always feel going back to.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, by J.K. Rowling

The list cannot be over without adding Harry Potter to it. Whoever has read it know how much potential it has to make readers a fan. It is a magical journey of the “Boy Who Lived.” After reading this book you will be urged to read the 6 other books of the Harry Potter series. By reading it just half, you will be dying to visit Hogwarts and visit your favourite characters and they won’t be just one or two but a huge list as they are all so lovely.
