Rani is excited about her wedding and the honeymoon that follows. Got you interested? But her fiance leaves her right before the wedding, shattering her heart and her dreams.

5. English Vinglish

Shashi, a homemaker, and sweet caterer are always mocked by her family for not being able to speak English. Many times she’s left extremely hurt, as she is taken for granted by her family.

She suddenly has to travel to New York to help her sister Many organize her daughter’s wedding. During her stay there she decided to take up an English learning course which helps her navigate through multiple hurdles.

She makes many friends and reminds her of her family. This film is a must-watch and throws light on the respect each and every housemaker deserves. 

6. Village Rockstars

Set in small-town Assam, it’s a coming-of-age film. The film follows a 10-year-old girl who makes friends with a group of boys and then dreams to start a band with the friends she makes.

The film only captures an innocent child’s dream come true while she has to come across all hiccups along the way.

A trip is taken to sort out a misunderstanding between Avinash and his friend Shaukat but a sudden twist in the plot ends up adding a teenage girl to the road trip.

Kaira, a cinematographer, is suffering from insomnia. She goes through a career downfall as well as a relationship hardship. She then requests Dr. Jahangir Khan to treat her.

An 11-year-old boy loses his father and to add to that his mother is transferred. He has a tough time coping and making sense of everything. The constant dread of his father leaving him and his mother.

He tries to make sense of a world that doesn’t seem to make sense. While he tries to fit into a gang in the school he studied in, his widow’s mother tries to fit into her Sarkari office.

The name literally means ‘Fort‘. The boy with his gang of friends explores the fort while trying to come to terms with what is happening in their lives.

Many movies fail to bring out the beautiful essence of life and many are far from reality. All of the films above have a major fan following because they all hit home.

They all depict the realities that we live in our day-to-day lives and many of them are heart-touching and thought-provoking. We hope the above films leave a smile on your face!
