Earlier this year, POCO separated itself from Xiaomi to form an ‘independent’ identity but POCO still uses the Xiaomi’s MIUI software and its service centres. POCO brings the ‘M’ series when everybody waiting for the POCO F2 in India.

POCO’s journey started with the POCO F1 which is the best phone with Snapdragon 800 processor under Rs 25,000 at that time. After that POCO launched its new phone – the POCO X2 with 120Hz refresh rate under Rs 20,000 in India. POCO M2 Pro is a powerful smartphone under Rs 15,000 packed with quad rear camera and 5,000 mAh battery.

First look –

POCO M2 Pro

The dual-tone design of POCO M2 Pro looks very unique and it gives a premium feel in the hand. The square-shaped quad rear camera is slightly smaller than the Redmi Note 9 Pro. Just like POCO X2, this one also has a fingerprint sensor on the right side embedded in the power button.

Battery and Charger –

POCO M2 Pro

Due to the massive 5,000 mAh battery, the device feels heavy in the hands. The powerful battery of POCO M2 Pro lasts more than a day. Besides this, it comes with a 33W fast charging support which manages to charge up the phone fully in slightly more than an hour.

Camera –

POCO M2 Pro

The camera department looks quite impressive. If you like vibrant pictures than you are going to enjoy the Pro colour mode similar to Realme’s Chroma Boost. The macro mode clicks decent shots but lacks in details. Ultra mode pictures look good but night mode disappoints a lot because in the low-light condition the camera misses the details and pictures looks grainy.

Performance –

POCO M2 Pro

POCO M2 Pro performs very well but sometimes lags when too many apps run on the background. If we talk about the gaming on the phone, the POCO M2 Pro runs the light games very smoothly but when it comes to Asphalt 9 it slows down.

Overall, the POCO M2 Pro is the best phone under Rs 15,000 (base variant). It is a well-packed phone provides great battery life, smooth performance and captures vibrant pictures in lightning conditions.

Specifications –

POCO M2 Pro

POCO M2 Pro is equipped with a 6.67” Full HD+ display with corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on both sides. The phone runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G Processor chipset and it has a quad rear camera comprising a 48 megapixels primary camera, an 8 megapixels wide-angle lens, a 5 megapixels macro camera and a 2 megapixels depth camera. On the front, there is a 16 megapixels punch hole selfie camera. The device packed with a powerful battery of 5,000 mAh capacity supported by 33W flash charger.
