The farmers protesting at the borders of the national capital have written letters to the prime minister Narendra Modi in blood, demanding that the three contentious farms law be repealed.
On December 22, hundreds of farmers donated blood at a camp set at the Singhu border by Ludhiana-based Bhai Ghaniya Ji Mission Sewa Society. The letters have been written by farmers who donated blood at the camp.
One of the letters read, “Good morning Narendra Modi Ji, we are writing this letter with our blood. You are the Prime Minister of our country, elected by our votes. Bypassing these three laws, the farmers have been betrayed. We request you to take back these laws.”

Written with blood, a letter read, “Kaale Kanoon Wapas Lo (Take Back Black Laws)”. Some letters said we reject these black laws, please take them back.
Taranjeet Singh Nimana from Ludhiana said that the farmers will send the letters to the Prime Minister either through post or present him in person.
Farmers continue to protest against the recently passed farm laws citing them as anti-farmers and demanding a complete repeal of the laws. They fear that the new laws will deprive them of their land, leaving them at the mercy of big corporates with no guarantee of minimum support price (MSP).
On Wednesday, 23 December 2020, the protest entered the 28th day with farmers blocking the Delhi borders completely from all sides. The day is also celebrated as Kisan Divas in India.
