Campus Diaries Review- There is a dry mainstream college film that tries to instill in us the concept of an elite university with Bollywood novels, music, and dance. A couple of lovers, a Ferrari, and a Gucci suggests that you don’t need a book. Then there are the slightly less violent movies. Although academics are encouraged, they are destined to be transformed into glamorous melodies with obvious messages.

The main attempt here is to sell emotions or pure perfume. A more sophisticated style of student drama is the style in which everyday student dilemmas and ambitions are actually merged into the film. But even that has now become a badly worn hit with little recovery. Viral fever dominates it, and now barely sells it.

In that regard, the idea that programs like the Campus Diary existed didn’t seem so bad on paper. A show from YouTube’s most famous comedy content creator with college friends can be a bit of fun.

Because some of their shortest, most accessible content on YouTube isn’t really a desperate way to sell funny and cheap gags. It stars Saloni Gaur, an internet sensation known for her stunning facial expressions and often poignant satire.

Harsh Beniwal is one of the most popular Indian YouTubers. A short parody of the Indian tic-talker’s withdrawn personality puts him on the Alist card. Another popular face here is Ritwik Sahor, a sweet young supporting actor with a long history in Hindi films. No matter how powerful an artist’s image is, all of this degrades its quality. Unfortunately, art is as cheap as the medium.

Even if it’s available on MX Player, it doesn’t even confirm that this is too dramatic a spectacle. It’s a rough comedy of some “serious” problems. And the message is messed up in a terrible way. In a way, The Campus Diaries is a mix of all the mundane student dramas that exist in Hindi storytelling. Almost every scene ends with a whimsical score.

As long as there are people learning, they invest more in their attire. Even an ordinary person, like a restaurant waiter, has some ridiculous phrases that he can make. As a result, it doesn’t even sell perfumes that simply can’t be attributed to a busy millennial piece of life that doesn’t exist.

The plot is pretty simple. It is a coming-of-age story of six students at a fictional University named Excel. The Movie Database page of the show proudly declares it as not just another run-of-the-mill college drama. Actually, it wants to imply that the story won’t deal only with romance, frolic, and friendship. It adds more to the mix of ragging, toxic relationship, politics, and addiction to be precise.

Combining different themes to add drama to an adult story is acceptable, but these elements only make the show much worse. Sometimes used pointlessly for humor.

Characters are broad prototypes with no layers. The film is based on friendship, which the film often tries to celebrate, but suffers from an exceptionally bad script. I also think the series could have used a much sharper cut. Twelve episodes are too long for such a tedious task.

The acting part doesn’t mean much either. The love story isn’t that important, so the female protagonists don’t have as much time to spare as usual. And that means rather stuffy and terrifying performances by the female actors. Saloni Gaur plays Priyanka, a rebel without a cause. Despite the fact that she is an extension of the ‘D.U Wali Didi’ image she has built up so far, she is struggling because she really has nothing to do.

Ritwik Sahor has nothing to do other than be happy or disappointed, but with Abhilash, he has mostly controlled performance. The harsh beniwal isn’t a surprising find, but as Sudhir, it’s somewhat impressive. He doesn’t convey the pretentiousness and over-excitement of most artists of his genre. But he also suffers from writing everywhere.

All in all, the campus diary is a complete college mess. There isn’t a single really funny moment in the series. But that doesn’t mean it’s exceptionally bad. It comes from a tradition of bad social media art that sells very easily, similar to the  Indian environment of the 21st century. And unfortunately, these opinions from his mouth will be well reflected.
