Vikash Dubey, the accused mastermind of the cold-blooded massacre of 8 police personnel last week on Friday was spotted in a hotel in Faridabad, police said.

The special police team conducted raids at Faridabad hotel on Tuesday, arrested 3 men. 44 live cartridges and 4 pistols were recovered from the arrested. CCTV footage analysis of the Hotel, showed Vikash Dubey wearing a mask, but he left early before the raid operation. Of the three men arrested, one is identified as Prabhat, who is from the village itself. The two others are father-son duo named Shravan and Ankur. They helped Vikash Dubey in Hiding, officials said.

Amar Dubey, a very close aid of the wanted gangster Vikash Dubey was shot dead early Wednesday morning, during an encounter in Hamirpur District. Amar was one of the chief accused. Special task Force(STF)  received intel about Amar Dubey, when the Police accosted him, he open fired upon them and died on the retaliatory firing by police.

“We asked him to surrender but he opened fire at us and was killed when we returned the fire,” said an STF official.

Police had announced a bounty of Rs 25,000 on Amar Dubey.

Vikash Dubey has 60 Criminal charges, including rioting and murder. He has Political Affiliations as well. Vikash Dubey’s Bounty has been doubled to Rs 5 lakh from Rs 2.5 lakh.

Currently, search operations are being conducted by 25 teams of UP Police. Faridabad and Gurgaon, the two cities in Haryana are under High Alert. Meanwhile, 68 policemen have been removed from Kanpur’s Chaubepur Police station amid allegations that some insider in the police, tipped of Vikash Dubey about the raid of Friday when the massacre happened.

Anant Deo, a former chief of the Kanpur police, has also been transferred by the UP government. He is alleged to ignore a letter written in march by  Devendra Mishra, the Deputy Superintendent of Police who was murdered on Friday. The letter flagged that policemen, especially Vinay Tiwari, the station officer of Chaubepur police station, were helping the criminal.

Vinay Tiwari has been suspended and the letter is being floated on social media.
