The news of Bollywood Actor, Irrfan Khan being at the hospital on Tuesday got circulated. The Actor’s spokesperson shared that he is being treated for a colon infection in Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Mumbai.

His spokesperson issued another statement on seeing the panic in the fans and rumours going about the actor’s death, asking people not to believe in any false rumours and that the actor’s fans will be kept updated. “It’s really disappointing to know that there are extreme assumptions being made about Irrfan’s health. While we are truly appreciative that people are concerned, it’s disheartening to see some sources spread extreme rumours and creating panic. Irrfan is a strong person and is still fighting the battle. We really request you to not fall for rumours and not partake in these conversations which are fictional. We have always actively clarified and shared updates on his health and we will continue doing so”, the official statement read.

But Later today The sad news of him Leaving this world was shared by Bollywood director and Irrfan’s dear friend, Shoojit Sircar on twitter. “My dear friend Irfaan. You fought and fought and fought. After Sircar, Amitabh Bachchan also shared a tweet showing his deep condolences on the actor’s death “Just getting news of the passing of Irrfan Khan… this is a most disturbing and sad news. An incredible talent.. a gracious colleague.. a prolific contributor to the world of cinema.. left us too soon.. creating a huge vaccum.. prayers and duas.”

Soon after Irrfan’s spokesperson confirmed the news of Irrfan’s demise saying, “trust I have surrendered’ – These were some of the many words that Irrfan expressed in a heartfelt note he wrote in 2018 opening up about his fight with cancer. And a man of few words and an actor of silent expressions with his deep eyes and his memorable actions on screen. It’s saddening that this day, we have to bring forward the news of him passing away. Irrfan was a strong soul, someone who fought till the very end and always inspired everyone who came close to him. After having been struck by lightning in 2018 with the news of a rare cancer, he took life soon after as it came and he fought the many battles that came with it. Surrounded by his love, his family for whom he most cared about, he left for heaven abode, leaving behind truly a legacy of his own. We all pray and hope that he is at peace. And to resonate and part with his words, he had said, ‘As if I was tasting life for the first time, the magical side of it.”

Irrfan khan had lost his mother, Saeeda Begum just 3 days back on 25th April 2020. She was in Jaipur and due to the nationwide lockdown, he couldn’t even attend her funeral.

Irrfan was diagnosed with cancer in 2018, he fought bravely with his disease and made his return to the film industry, which was his passion. He completed his film, Angrezi Medium. The movie couldn’t do that well in theatres because of the outbreak of the coronavirus as the shows had to be stopped. The movie was later released on digital platforms. But it was greatly acclaimed by the viewers and critics, just like all his other works.

Irrfan was a true gem, which we lost today. We all are left heartbroken on his parting news but we pray that his soul Rest In Peace and his family can maintain patience in this emotional time. We are also glad that he was at least surrounded by the people he loved the most, in his last moments. He was indeed a great soul and him parting in this holy month marks a significant proof of this fact.

He will always be remembered and loved by his fans.
