The question that who will rule Bihar for the upcoming five years is yet to be answered.  It will be clear within a few hours, who will form the next government, the present Chief Minister Nitish Kumar or his challenger in opposition, Tejashwi Yadav, son of former CM Lalu Prasad Yadav. The fate of all 3,755 candidates will be decided on Tuesday with the result of Bihar Assembly election 2020.

The result of exit polls was quite convincing as per all the past records where Bihar’s fate seems to be on the cusp of a generational transition in politics. The incumbent sixty-year-old Nitish Kumar-led alliance was predicted in the exit polls to be exiting from the power in Bihar and Tejashwi Yadav a 31-year-old seems to be emerging as the new rising son for the state of Bihar.

The accuracy of these exit polls will be tested today. Where the counting of votes has been started at 55 centres as per Election Commission’s decision, across 38 districts of Bihar.

According to the early trends, Bjp is now leading by 45 seats, the JD (U) in 34 and the Vikassheel Party in 3 seats. Where the RJD is leading as predicted by exit polls. As per the results of exit polls, Early leads are giving a clear edge to the Mahagathbandhan in Bihar.

KC Tyagi, JD(U) spokesperson concedes_“We welcome the people’s mandate; not the RJD, but a natural disaster has defeated us,” he said, referring to the coronavirus pandemic, reports NDTV.

With a cut to throat competition so far, it would be wise to see who gets a final edge. Bihar that becomes the first state to have the elections post lockdown and in pandemic will have its fate decided today.
