The Renault is known for hitting the new benchmark every time whether it is Duster or the Kwid and now, all new Triber has already hit the new benchmark for being the cheapest 6-seater automatic and clocking around 40,000 unit sold since its launch.
The Renault Triber was launch on Aug 2019 with only one engine option that is 1.0-litre petrol with 5-speed manual gearbox and now Renault came up with all-new automatic transmission paired with the same 1.0-litre engine to enhance the sale of Triber making all the features constant as before.
Under the hood
As earlier said, Triber is powered by 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine only, and an engine is mated with two transmission option-5-speed manual and the automatic. The engine produces 72 ps of power and 96 Nm of torque.
One of the best thing, our team observed is the traditional gear lever in automatic which allows you to drive the vehicle in a manual mode unlike the dial of Kwid offering only to shift gears automatically. The shifting of gears is quite slow and could trouble you while in a hurry but for the smooth and calm driving, the transmission is just adequate at this price point.
Interior
The interior is only the key to Triber success. The arrangement of three rows is nicely done with cushiony seats and adequate amount of leg space in the middle row and the last row has been compromised slightly. The cabin isn’t wide as typical 7-seater MPV but comfortable for two at each row and with all the seats up Triber offers 84 litres of boot space which is insanely less but dropping one row could offer you 625 litres, which turns out to be the largest in any 5-seater.
Renault has done a fantastic job in terms of finishing and quality. The Instrument Cluster is impressive and also shows the AMT selected gear which makes it convenient and informative along with the massive 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
Summary
The Renault has done innovative work by placing the 3rd row smartly in the boot which directly captures the people with a large family and with tight pocket. It could be said to be 70% of Ertiga likely Ertiga has been known for 70% of Innova since it launched.
Let’s conclude If you are a family person with not so much of wishes from the engine than the Triber is best for you and if you want something peppy and good to drive then this car has something to worry about. At the price range Rs 6.25 to 7.29 lakh (ex-Showroom) for automatic, the car is worth it to buy for sure.
