Lewis Hamilton won the Styrian GP from pole position on Sunday to clinch an 85th Grand Prix win moves within six of Michael Schumacher’s F1 record. After the dominant and phenomenal performance to win the Styrian GP, Hamilton stood on top of his Black car, raising his right fist in the air. Then, after collecting his winner silverware, he took his helmet off, looked down on the floor. Holding the gold trophy in his clenched right fist skywards.Hamilton Before the race, Hamilton took his knee down for the second week in a row along with 11 more racing drivers out of 20 which leads to being uncomfortable for the sport’s bosses. Hamilton and his teammate Valtteri Bota who stood first last week in Austrian GP was first to drop to the tarmac, some drivers are also there, some arrived late, and others were not even there. Hamilton was wearing a “Black life matters” T-shirt in order to protest again racism. Hamilton said “we spoke about it in the driver’s briefing and what we intended to do,” and then he added “some were asking how long we have to continue this and some were like last week was enough but I just had to encourage them and say that racism is going to be around for longer than our time here”.Hamilton“people of colour, who are subjected to racism, don’t have time to take a moment to protest once and then for that to be it. We have to continue to push for quality and raise awareness. For me, personally, it is going to be a lifelong thing” Hamilton added.
Hamilton finished 1.2 seconds faster than followed one with just 10 corners. On Sunday, he roared away from his starting marks and never looked back-taking the chequered flag 13.7 seconds clear of Bottas. Bottas stood 2nd and Max Verstappen from Red Bull stood 3rd.
