On 26 August, the US, UK, and Australia issued a security warning for its evacuation process in Afghanistan. The warning was made for possible terrorist attacks at the Airport by a very credible source. All these 3 nations warned their citizens waiting to be evacuated for refraining from entering the Airport.

In the evening, a Serial blast took place near the Afghanistan Airport where countless foreign nationals and some Afghanistan refugees were waiting to be evacuated. The crowded areas near the airport were shaken by the Serial blasts. Until now, 72 people have been killed and 143 have been reported to be injured.

These figures include small kids and children. The blasts took place while other nations are making desperate efforts to take their citizens out of Afghanistan.  ISIS-K has claimed responsibility for the Attack without presenting any proof. The pictures, videos, and experiences of witnesses at the blast sight have given a glimpse of the chaotic situation.

It displays extreme bloodshed,  flesh, bodies, and victims laying on the ground crying for help. The first attack took place at the Abbey gate. It is the primary entry point at the Hamid Karzai Airport in Kabul used by US marines. The second blast took place at the Baron Hotels used by the British and its allies for handling the evacuation process.

It has also been reported that gunshots were reported right after the blast. President Joe Biden of the USA has condemned the Attack and committed to trace the accused and shoot them down. Although, countries have now resumed their evacuation process. But Britain, Spain, and a few other countries have fastened the process and they are determined to end it within a few hours

The Globe Post

The coverage of the plight in Afghanistan has only been limited to the foreigners and refugees who are trying to flee. But, countless souls would be left under Taliban-ruled Afghanistan. The world thought that it had recovered from the war-torn era.

Countries were committing to unite against the pandemic. However,  the images from Afghanistan make it clear that the history of made-made bloodshed and plight is yet to be over. There is a lot more pain and suffering than those seen in the images from Kabul’s Airport.

The United States and other countries that used to support Afghanistan have expressed their opposition to the Taliban take over. They have frozen and stopped the financial resources and supplies to Afghanistan.  This shall have a big impact on Afghanistan because it’s one of the poorest nations in the world.

The unstable political situation and violent incidents have made it a dependent nation on aid from other countries. The freezing of financial reserves will only make the situation worse for the common citizens of Afghanistan.

A report from the World health program has stated that one of the worst humanitarian crises is taking place in front of our eyes in Afghanistan. The political conflict and covid-19 are making the situation difficult with violent conflicts adding on to the plight.

It is reported that 1 in every 3 Afghans is facing hunger. Approximately,  2 million children are malnourished and need quick treatment.  More than 3.5 million people have been displaced from their households. Furthermore, 40% of crops have been damaged by the drought.

The health infrastructure of the country is collapsing. The prices of food crops have tremendously increased. There has been a lack of medical supplies like medicines, trained staff, etc for treating covid patients. Even so, the Afghanistan currency has dropped considerably with the 3rd covid-19 wave.

Mother Jones

The Taliban has declared 31 August as the final deadline for nations to conduct the evacuation process. The citizens of Afghanistan are yearning for a proper Government and system to drive them out of their situation. There is no government to recognize or be worthy of recognition at the international platform. There are no recognized authorities.

Afghanistan needs separate assistance to reduce its problems, but the increasing humanitarian crisis has made the crisis even more problematic for its citizens.

The future decision by the foreign countries, international organizations, and the Taliban itself will decide whether the Humanitarian crisis will end or not.
