As elections are near and all the parties are trying their best to step up their propaganda and election campaigns, it would be interesting to see which party would win the election polls in different states.
Aam Aadmi Party is contesting elections in the upcoming Punjab Vidhan Sabha elections. Aam Aadmi Party is an established party in the state of Delhi and has been seen as the strongest contender there. It has no doubt emerged as the winning party despite having strong competition from Bhartiya Janta Party.
As the party is new to the grounds of Punjab, it has strong competition from Indian National Congress and Shiromani Akali Dal. Due to being a new and scattered voter base, the party may not be successful in alluring the people and winning the elections.
As per the November results of the election tracker in Punjab, Aam Aadmi Party is expected to poll for 39 per cent and Indian National Congress on the other hand is expected to get 34 per cent votes. AAP may emerge as the single largest party in the upcoming Punjab Vidhan Sabha polls but still, it might not win the elections as the voter base is scattered.
The regional distribution of the Voter base might be one of the many causes of the loss in the votes. There is tough competition for over 117 seats in the upcoming elections.
Aam Aadmi Party Chief, Mr Arvind Kejriwal is known to be famous among the people for his real sighted involvement with the common man. As the country saw the recent rift between the PM and the Farmers over the Farm Union Bill, it is also the best time for the party to emerge as a strong contender between all the established parties in the state.
Arvind Kejriwal is known for his appeals to urban sensibilities and matters. In the recent rift of the borders of Delhi between farmers and BJP, he had shown non-confrontation with farmers winning their hearts and many young voters find resonance with his policies as they oppose BJP. A large section of voters is not ready to vote for the legacy of Congress. Also, there is a need and yearn among the people to see the politics free from the usual Akali-Congress collaboration.
Both of these parties have the baggage of previous problems and turmoil among the party, but AAP is a fresh face on the land. It is expected to make a change in Punjab. With Congress CM Mr Amrinder Singh stepping down and his ongoing rift with Navjot Singh Sidhu, it is unlikely that these faces will be liked by the people. There is a division of votes seen between the people. Some like Sukhbir Badal while some are on the side of Bhagwant Mann.
It might still not be easy to direct the wave of the election and declare the winner, but AAP is a strong party with no record of corruption in the state and as the state demands a fresh change, it would be interesting to see if people vote for AAP and secure their future for a new beginning following the footsteps of Delhiites.
