In a proposal passed by the national council of Janata Dal-United, Nitish Kumar was declared an able politician to lead the nation under the role of a Prime Minister.
Lalan Singh, the president of the JD(U), stated that Nitish Kumar has not contested the position. However, he does have the qualifications needed for the Prime Minister’s position and is quite competent. Lalan Singh put forth the resolution which deemed Nitish Kumar as the “able candidate for the role of Prime Minister”.
The JD-(U) national council was held at Karpuri headquarters at JD(U) state headquarters. Upendra Kushwala, the JD(U) parliamentary board president; RCP Singh, the Union Minister; Basistha Narayan Singh along with 200 other officials had also joined the meeting and supported the resolution proposed by Lalan Singh.
At the meeting, Lalan Singh’s ascendency as the party chief. The general secretary of the party, KC Tyagi, was also present at the meeting. He informed that the resolution was passed to clear doubts about the hierarchy of Janata Dal-United.
KC Tyagi briefed the media about the meeting and noted that Nitish Kumar isn’t a claimant for the position of Prime Minister. He stated that since they are in NDA, their candidate is Narendra Modi for the Prime Minister. However, Nitish Kumar contains all the qualities required for a prime minister.
Upendra Kushwaha, who was indicted as the party leader earlier this month, stated that Nitish Kumar is a Prime Minister material. Mr. Kushwaha had stated that people chose Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister. However, many candidates in India have the potential of being Prime Minister and one of them is Nitish Kumar.
The media asked about the comments made by fellow party members to Nitish Kumar. He refuted the comments by saying, he is not interested in such things. The party members have mentioned that the resolution stating Nitish Kumar has all the qualities of a Prime Minister is just a claim and in no manner is challenging Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Nitish Kumar, the chief minister of Bihar met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi last week. In the meeting, he demanded a caste-based census to be conducted and noted that PM Modi heard the aim of the delegation patiently. He also stated that the final decision rests with the Prime Minister.
Tejashwi Yadav alongside 10 other political parties met with the PM. Sushil Modi from the Bharatiya Janata Party mentioned that the party was not against the caste-based census.
