A severely injured laborer succumbed to injuries in the Kanpur Halat Hospital during treatment after being beaten by the son of a former BJP MLA for demanding wages on Holi in Kannauj, Uttar Pradesh. The police have also arrested the accused from Kanpur Nagar
Sandesh (22), a resident of Pondabad, used to work in the house of former BJP MLA Banwari Lal Dohra, resident of village Dahlepur of Sadar Kotwali area. On March 25, Sandesh was beaten with a gun by the former MLA’s son Ajit Dohra, asking for wages for Holi expenses.
The relatives admitted Sandesh to the Halat Hospital Kanpur after the district hospital. Sandesh succumbed to his injuries during treatment at around 12 pm on Saturday night. SP Prashant Verma said that accused Ajit Doher has been arrested from Kanpur Nagar.
Ajit was preparing to contest elections Ajit was preparing to contest for the
post of dual Zilla Panchayat member. He had also posted posters everywhere. The accused is also the District President of the Vishwa Hindu Mahasangh.
Former MLA shared his disappointment after the arrest of his son. He said that due to the exploits of the son, he has fallen behind in politics. Even after convincing the family members, he was walking on the wrong path.
