2. K.G.F Chapter 2

Acting as a sequel to K.G.F Chapter 1, this action thriller is a continuation of Rocky’s story as he goes on to take over the Kolar Gold Fields and become a savior for the laborers working there.
The film became an instant hit breaking records to become the second highest-grossing film of all time. It was praised for its storyline, cinematography, and performance.
3. The Kashmir Files

Revolving around the 1990s exodus of Kashmiri Hindus, The Kashmir Files is a fictitious account of the same starring Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, Pallav Joshi, and Darshan Kumar.
The story follows a young university student who is unaware of the impact of the exodus on the Kashmiri pandit and holds the Government responsible for the events in Kashmir.
4. Hridayam

Hridayam is a light-hearted coming-of-age story accounting for the life of a teenager Arun as he experiences his bachelor’s life in engineering college and the stages of love and life that develops his maturity inside him.
It is a perfect movie to watch on weekends and is currently available on Disney+ Hotstar.
5. RRR
Rating- 8/10
Directed by S.S. Rajamouli, who is known for Baahubali Duology which is among the highest-grossing Indian films of all time, RRR explores the life of two legendary revolutionaries, Alluri Sitaram Raju and Komarama Bheem who fought against the British Raj in their ways.
The film stars N.T. Rama Rao, Alia Bhatt, Ram Charan, and Ajay Devgan.
6. A Thursday
Rating- 7.8/10
Featuring Yami Gautam as Naina Jaiswal, A Thursday is a thriller movie that follows Naina, a teacher that kidnaps 16 children and keeps them as hostages to meet her demands.
After hearing her demands, the entire country along with the government is surprised. A Thursday was released on the OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar.
7. Jhund
Rating 7.4/10
Jhund follows the story of Vijay Barse, played by the very talented and prominent actor Amitabh Bachchan, who is a retired sports teacher and opens Slum Soccer, an organization to help underprivileged children realize their dreams of becoming a footballer.
The film is actually biographical based on the sports teacher of the same name.
8. Samrat Prithviraj

Featuring Akshay Kumar as Prithviraj Chauhan from the Chahamana Dynasty alongside Manushi Chillar who makes her film debut taking the role of Sanyogita, Samrat Prithviraj is based on the life of the historical ruler who was known for his bravery and fearlessness.
However, the film did not perform well and suffered a box office disaster.
9. Runaway 34

Starring Ajay Devgan, Amitabh Bachchan, Rakul Preet, and Boman Irani among others, Runaway 34 is based on a real incident on Jet Airway.
The movie follows the turbulence-effect flight and its aftermath faced by the pilot.
10. Gangubai Kathiawadi

Ending the list with probably one of the best performances delivered by Alia Bhatt that revealed the spectrum of her skills, Gangubai Kathiawadi is based on real-life events in the life of a prostitute.
The story follows Gangubai as she was cheated and sold to a Brothel in Kamathipura and how she went on to make underworld connections and snatch power in the area where she was once powerless.
