Officials Suspect Drone’s Usage Behind The Jammu Airbase Explosions

Security forces have arrested two suspects regarding the incident with the drone attack being the keyword of all the suspicion.

On Sunday morning, sadly two low-intensity explosions occurred at Jammu Air Force station.
At the beginning of the investigation Security forces detained two suspects for questioning in Satwari Area near Jammu Air Base.

Western Air Commander Marshall V R Chaudhary is already on the ground investigating all the situation.

Air Force Chief Marshal R K S Bhadoria is continuously monitoring this specific development. Bhadoria is presently in Bangladesh on an official invitation. Necessary instructions have been passed.

Officials also suspect drones were used to carry out the attack which resulted in two IAF personnel suffering minor injuries.

According to Abhishek Bhalla, the Defence Editor with India Today TV “It’s still not clear why these suspects have been rounded up, what exactly is the nature of questioning they will go through, but this is the basic procedure, the investigator tries to identify people who can give them further clues into the investigation but in the meanwhile the top securities establishment, the senior officials themselves taking stalk of the situation on the ground.”

According to the news reports, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) is looking into explosions caused by two IEDs that were dropped from a drone.

The explosions took place “close to the helicopter hangar” of the IAF base.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh spoke to Vice Air Chief, Air Marshal HS Arora regarding the incident, believed to be the first-of-its-kind attack in the country.
