“Please come back.” Deepika Padukone tweets remembering her late co-star Irrfan Khan. Dipika took to twitter cherishing beautiful moments spent with Irrfan on the sets of “Piku” with a video of them playing Tennis.

The video speaks of her bond with the late actor who passed away recently after two years of battling cancer.

This Friday was a nostalgic day for all the casts of “Piku” as the film completed its 5 years but sadly lost its one of the very talented actors.

Dipika even dedicated a song named “Lamhe Guzar Jayenge” from “Piku” and wrote, “Rest in peace, my dear friend.”

Another of his co-star Imran Hasnee who shared screens with Irrfan in both national and international films like “Pan Singh Tomar”, “Mighty Hearts” and “Slumdog Millionaire” told media that his late friend found happiness in small things.

“He was fond of flying kites and playing crickets. He was not one of those people who would indulge in celebration for awards, like “tamasha.” He said.

“He used to feel happy to be surrounded by family and friends.” He added.

Both actors were very close and knew each other for several years. In fact, Imran was amongst the few who obtained special permission to attend Irrfan’s cremation.

“As the lockdown is on, I had to take special permission to go there. I was so numb at that point of time but I had to go rushing to see my friend who stood by me for 20 years.” Imran said.

“There was a time limit and only a selected number of people could gather, so we were hurrying up everything. We were just following the rules.” He added.
