Being a villain, on the other hand, requires the actor to express complicated emotions and human frailties in a way that is diametrically opposed to portraying good characters. The actor must embody the persona, feeling the character’s negativity and hatred for others, in order for the character to appear genuine. “Grey characters are often more realistic than others,” Emraan Hashmi once said. We look at some of the Powerful negative characters we’ve seen in Bollywood throughout the years, as well as the performers who nailed them.

1. Ranveer Singh (Padmavat)

Ranveer Singh has upped the ante as Delhi Sultan Alauddin Khilji in Padmavat, with scary eyes, strange mannerisms, and tremendous acting. Despite having his sights set on developing a big filmography to be proud of, the actor believes it’s a character whose goals and avarice he doesn’t identify with.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali wanted a fantastic actor to bring out Khilji’s actual dark side on the big screen, as he was a wicked and evil ruler on paper. Here comes Ranveer Singh. The actor immersed himself in Khilji’s gloomy realm, thereby immortalizing the character. As a result, even three years after the release of Padmavat, we can still see Ranveer’s spectacular scenes from the film.

2. Akshay Kumar (2.0)

Akshay Kumar, who plays the villain in Rajinikanth’s much-anticipated, high-budget entertainment 2.0, went through a lengthy prosthetic make-up process for his role. The actor claims that it put his patience to the test and that it has helped him relax.

“I was already patient, but this made me more subtle and mellow at the moment,” Akshay told a small gathering of journalists.

The treatment did not end there because removing the make-up took an hour and a half. It was excruciatingly uncomfortable for the actor. During his filming schedule, Akshay had to stick to a liquid diet of water, smoothies, and juices.

3. Vishal Jethwa (Mardaani 2)

In Mardaani 2, Rani Mukerji reprises her role as Shivani Shivaji Roy, a woman who takes it upon herself to apprehend the culprit. Roy is on the search for a teenage criminal who rapes and murders women in Kota in this sequel.

The filmmakers were able to keep the identity of the actor who portrays the primary adversary a secret.

With YRF, the young actor, who has already been in various TV shows, made his Bollywood debut. Critics have praised Mardaani 2 and favourable reviews are flooding in. However, the antagonist, who has left everyone amazed with his powerful performance, deserves special notice.

“There is one person who takes your breath away — the clean-faced enemy, played by Vishal Jethwa,” writes India TV critic Sonal Gera. He is a revelation, a person who one would immediately despise. Sunny, played by Vishal, is devious, tremendously intelligent, and unbelievably nasty. He rapes women before murdering them viciously. Because, well, ego”

4. Nawazuddin Siddiqui (Raman Raghav 2.0)

As the psychotic serial killer Ramanna in Raman Raghav 2.0, Nawazuddin produced one of his most demanding performances. He tried method acting to give the character justice, and it turns out that his battle for the REEL became far too REAL.

“Every time I spoke his (Raman) words or carried out his awful deeds of violence for the camera, I felt virtually tainted and compromised,” Nawaz told Deccan Chronicle about the character. It seemed as if something inside of me had died.”

The actor used to go a lot of dhabas, slum neighborhoods, and other shady locales to get into the nitty-gritty of the criminal’s character (which was inspired by serial murderer Raman Raghav). To prepare for the role, Siddiqui even left his home for two days without alerting anyone and stayed in a cheap, secluded motel.

5. Vivek Oberoi (Krrish 3)

Vivek Oberoi’s great villain look in Krrish 3 has been kept under wraps, but the actor, who hasn’t seen box office success in a long time, was convinced that the role would be a game-changer for him.

“It’s a one-of-a-kind persona. He is a dark aristocratic prince and a supervillain. Because he is not accepted in society, he despises the human race. His need for vengeance is so powerful that he constructed his own reality to combat them. It’s one of the most terrifying villains ever seen on TV, “Vivek remarked.

The 37-year-old actor claimed he has no qualms about playing a dark part because he believes that portraying such edgy roles in films like “Company” and “Shootout at Lokhandwala” earned him the most acclaim from the audience.

6. Sanjay Dutt (Agneepath)

In the remake of Agneepath, Sanjay Dutt played Kaancha Cheena, a part that was originally played by Danny Dengzongpa. Because the character was already renowned, Sanjay Dutt had to bring his “A” game to the film. Sanjay Dutt, on the other hand, did not disappoint. Everything Sanjay Dutt accomplished, from his bulked-up appearance to his dialogue delivery, added authenticity to his negative portrayal in the film.

7. Ritesh Deshmukh (Ek Villain)

Riteish Deshmukh steals the spotlight in EK VILLAIN with a brilliant performance.

From playing a disgruntled employee who is referred to as “more useless than a xerox machine” to a psycho who vents by murdering random women who call him “useless” and bringing their belongings home to his nagging wife in order to prevent him from murdering his own wife, who also refers to him as such.

By far the biggest surprise in this film is Riteish.

And you’re thinking to yourself, “Is this the same actor I saw in drag in Humshakals?”

He meant every word when he said “ghabraiye mat madam aaj ke baad aapko shikayat ka mauka nahi milega.”

8. Tigmanshu Dhulia (Gangs Of Wasseypur)

One of the main characteristics of a great villain is to make the audience dislike and hate him, and if that’s the case, there’s no better character than Ramadhir Singh. Tigmanshu Dhulai plays Ramadhit Singh, an upcoming politician who appears in both parts of the film.

Ramadhir is the series’ main antagonist and almost kills all of the main protagonists. Ramadhir Singh is one of the most fearsome villains thanks to his brilliant acting and classic sentences like “Beta, tumse na ho payega.”
