The new affordable phone Redmi 9 prime has launched in India in an online event. It has the same specifications as Redmi 9 which was launched in Spain last month. This latest member from the Redmi family will give tough competition to Realme Narzo 10 and Samsung Galaxy M11.
Redmi 9 Prime comes with a quad-camera setup comprising of a 13-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor, a 5-megapixel macro sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a waterdrop notch selfie camera of 8 megapixels.
Redmi 9 Prime is equipped with a 6.53-inch FHD+ IPS display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. There is a waterdrop notch on the top. The phone is powered by a MediaTek Helio G80 Processor and runs on Android 10 with MIUI 11 on top.
The device connectivity options support the Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port, 4G Volte, Wifi 802.11ac, and an IR blaster. For security, there is a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor with P2i splash-proof feature.
The handset is packed with a massive battery of 5020 mAh that supports 18W fast charging. Besides this, the Redmi 9 prime measures 163.32×77.01×9.1mm and weigh 198 grams.
There are two storage variants of the phone, the 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 512 GB with the help of a microSD card.
The 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant will be available at Rs 9,999 and top variant of 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage will be available at Rs 11,999. Both variants come in Space Blue, Mint Green, Matte Black, and Sunrise Flare color options.
The first sale of Redmi 9 prime will be held on August 6 at 10.00 a.m via Amazon India during the Prime day and on mi.com.
