Songs are a way to express different human emotions. This post is devoted to some of the heart-warming songs that touched our heart and soul.

8 Songs We Only Listen To Because Of Their Emotionally Stirring Lyrics

Charmboard

Sometimes it is the voice of the singer, sometimes the melody of the composer, sometimes the lyrics of the writer, and sometimes all of these- some songs have a special place in our hearts as they validate our concealed feelings.

Whether it is a tiring day at work, a stressful exam period at school, or general tension that we carry in our lives- songs are a great stress buster acting as a peaceful pill for us.

Although it is practically impossible to add all the songs we love in a single post, we tried dedicating it to some of the soulful voices and words that kept us company on our blue and bright days.

1. Yeh Tune Kya Kiya

Saari duniya se jeet ke main aaya hoon idhar

Tere aage hi main haara kiya tune kya asar

Main dil ka raaz kehta hoon

Ke jab jab saansein leta hoon

Tera hi naam leta hoon

Ye tune kya kiya

If drunk on love was a song, yeh tune kya Kiya is a beautiful composition amplified by Javed Bashir’s voice. This song captures the feeling of falling in love- where you can’t follow the logic and you give up on your emotions.

Even if people conquer the whole world, they still lose when it comes to love. The intensity of this emotion couldn’t have been more strongly captured.

2. Bheegi Si Bhaagi Si

Aan haan gulabi si subah

Aan haan sharaabi si hawa

Bheegi si bhaagi si

Mere bazuo mein samaye

Jogi si jaagi si koyi

Prem dhun woh sunaaye

This song from the film Rajneeti encapsulates the warm side of love. It is that emotion of slowly falling for someone and realizing that you wake up smiling for no reason where each day feels like a pleasant beginning.

The tenderness and intricacy of this bond are described through the song. Mohit Chauhan’s effort further makes it more tranquil.

3. Tum Se Hi

Na hai yeh pana, na khona hi hai

Tera na hona jane, kyun hona hi hai

Tum se hi din hota hai, surmayi shaam aati

Love is a complex feeling. It is not always easy to confess what you are feeling and leave everything to be with your beloved.

Tum Se Hi wonderfully portrays the sentiments of resisting yourself to be with someone while yearning for them. When you love a person, it feels like they are with you even in their absence.

4. Kal Ho Naa Ho

Chaahe jo tumhe poore dil se

Milta hai woh mushkil se

Aisa jo koi kahin hai

Bas vahi sabse hasin hai

A song with soulful lyrics that are enhanced by Sonu Nigam‘s melodious voice, Kal Ho Naa Ho was as beautiful as the movie.

The song shows how in a dynamic life where nothing is permanent, finding someone who truly loves you is extremely difficult and when that happens we need to treasure it.

5. Ilahi

Mera falsafaa kandhe pe mera basta

Chala main jahaan le chala mujhe rasta

Boondon pe nahin

Gehre samandar pe woh oo woh

Bunny taught us the importance of following one’s dream while showing us a peek into the life of a wanderlust soul.

Ilahi portrays the freedom one attains in a foreign land where there is no one to judge you. From a focused drop, you become a part of a big ocean.

6. Yeh Dooriyan

Mushqil hai bahut hi

Ab chhupana ya batana

Zyada paas aana hai asal mein door jaana

Mere saath mere

Zakhm bhi hain dard bhi hain jinse hai bigadta

Jo bhi chaahun main banana

Yes, we agree that the original version of Yeh Dooriyan was amazing. However, Love Aaj Kal 2 focuses on a different aspect of emotions.

The lyrics show how a person’s experience and trauma mold them into someone who is not easy to love. It indicates the fear a person encounters when they get close to someone.

7. Shiddat

Kyun Yeh Hadein Hain

Yeh Kyun Sarhadein Hain

Itne Hai Kyun Faaslein

Manzil Teri Meri Jab Ek Hai Toh

Kyun Hai Alag Raaste

The title track of shiddat is another testimony of the profound nature of love. This song reminds me of a quote by Khalil Gibran, “Love knows not its own depth until the hour of separation.”

It is true that sometimes we realize how deep our feelings are only when we are distant from the people we love.

8. Agar Tum Saath Ho

Mujhe lagta hai ke baatein dil ki

Hoti lafzon ki dhokebaazi

Tum saath ho ya na ho kya fark hai

Bedard thi zindagi bedard hai

This list would have been incomplete without Agar Tum Saath Ho. With Ved and Tara’s complex relationship and Alka Yagnik’s ethereal voice, this is one of the most beautiful songs in the Bollywood Industry.

It painfully shows how one person tries to hold on to the bond while the other is too damaged to try.
