The Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU), All India Farmers Union (AIFU), All India Kisan Sangharsh Coordination Committee (AIKSCC), All India Kisan Mahasangh (AIKM) have gathered on a mutual ground announcing a nationwide shutdown (Bharat Bandh) on 25th September 2020.
Following the protests and uproar, the Rajya Sabha on Sunday passed two out of the three bills. The opposition alleged that the government did not have the required numbers and asserted sweeping violation of the regulations bt the BJP.
Farmers in Punjab, Haryana and numerous other states were already demonstrating against the new law since the law was passed in the Lok Sabha.
In the wake of these events, the Farmer committees across several states in the country have called for a countrywide shut down on 25th September.
Following the CBI probe in the Sushant’s case, the Narcotics Control Bureau has ordered Deepika to attend the investigation on the same day as Bharat Bandh. Considering the rampant debates and telecasts surrounding the topic, the mainstream media will be involved in it’s a usual unimportant issue.
