Trinamool Congress alleges in a ‘leaked audio’ that BJP is in bed with the Election commission

On Saturday, the audio war between the BJP and the TMC in West Bengal erupted. First, the BJP released an audio clip saying that a BJP worker in Nandigram was invited back to the party by Trinamool Congress leader and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. In the Nandigram polls, he also called for cooperation.

Later that evening, the TMC responded by releasing an audio recording of BJP leaders Mukul Roy and Shishir Bajoria, accusing them of colluding with the Election Commission.

The Trinamool Congress has said that BJP chief Mukul Roy was overheard discussing how to manipulate the Election Commission with party leader Shishir Bajoria.

The audio, according to a study by ‘India Today,’ contains a variety of issues, including a demand for polling agents or booth agents of political parties. It’s worth noting that a political party’s booth agent sits inside the polling booth on election day and is usually a resident of the booth district.

Mukul Roy reportedly says in the audio that the Election Commission should be asked to issue an administrative order enabling any Bengal voter to work as a booth agent in any of the state’s booths. Roy is said to have said, “If we don’t do this, the BJP won’t field agents in many booths.”

The Election Commission passed an order last week enabling Bengal voters to become booth agents anywhere in the state. Trinamool has been demanding that this order be revoked since it was issued.

Following these Trinamool charges, the Election Commission may pose new concerns. The Election Commission has recently been accused of bias. Even though the Trinamool challenged it, the election was declared in eight phases in West Bengal. Mamta Banerjee said that the decision to hold elections for so long and in so many stages was made to benefit a specific political party.
