The 5T plan comprises testing, tracing, treatment, teamwork, and tracking.
-
Testing – "We will aggressively test to identify, treat, trace, quarantine and seal," said Kejriwal. He further added that like South Korea, they too will identify coronavirus infected patients through nationwide testing because if you don’t test, you won’t be able to find out which houses have been affected and it’ll go on spreading. He also announced the arrival of 50,000 testing kits by Friday and said that Delhi Government plans to conduct 1000 tests daily and some hotspots will be covered at random as well.
-
Tracing – The next step after testing is tracing. The people who have come in contact with infected people will be traced and asked to self-isolate. Delhi police will make sure that self-isolation follows by tracing the phone numbers so that it can be assured that people under self-quarantine are indeed staying at homes.
-
Treatment – Chief Minister has reserved LNJP, GB pant and Rajiv Gandhi hospitals for the treatment of coronavirus patients. 2,950 beds have been reserved for coronavirus patients. Elderly serious patients with heart and liver ailments, cancer, diabetes and those who are above 50 years of age will be kept in hospitals while the patients with milder symptoms and below the age of 50 will be kept in hotels and dharamshalas.
-
Teamwork – Coronavirus can only be defeated through teamwork and I am glad that all the States and the Centre are working together to stop the spread of the virus, said Kejriwal. He further said that the medical staff is the key member of this team and their protection is important and we must learn from other states.
-
Tracking – Delhi Police will regularly do the tracking of the developments and actions taken to fight this pandemic.
