Summer (April-June) is unquestionably the ideal time to visit Ladakh. It’s when the snow melts and the region transforms into a kaleidoscope of colours. During this time, you can see breathtaking scenery as well as charming Buddhist festivals like the famed Hemis Festival (June-July). Trekking, rafting, and camping are also available. Tourist season is in full swing.

How to reach Ladakh:

Flight: Taking a flight is the simplest (and also the quickest) way to get to Leh. Leh to New Delhi flights are available on a regular basis. On a clear day, the flight provides spectacular views of the Himalayas. Flights are the only way to get to Leh during the winter months, when the roads are closed.

Railways: Jammu is the closest railway station. From Jammu, you can go to Srinagar and then to Leh through the Srinagar Leh Highway. The Indian government has launched a massive project that will connect Jammu and Leh.
