Musicians and vocalists from popular music gharanas/families are carving out a place for themselves in the profession. Kanishk Seth, the son of well-known singer Kavita Seth, is the most recent addition to the list.
The young singer-producer-composer is coming to light with his wonderful songs after releasing an album titled Trance with Khusrow alongside his mother.

KANISHK SRTH’s RISE TO POPULARITY
Kanishk Seth and Kavita Seth collaborated on the film Rangi Saari, which was released last year. This song is a lovely combination of elements from two very distinct musical genres: electronic and Indian classical.
This cheerful Sufi melody was well received by the public and lasted at the top of the charts for a long time.
NEW RELEASE OF KANISHK ON RADAR INDIA
Kanishk Seth’s “Saacha Sahib,” his latest single in cooperation with classical music vocalists Kavita Seth and Javed Bashir, is featured on Spotify’s “Radar India.”
This lovely music combines ancient Indian instruments with electric guitar riffs, new school glitches, and DnB instrumentals to create a wonderful blend.
The joyful Aalap part in the outro, which features DnB beats, is excellent, making this song an immediately uplifting Sufi slapper.
OTHER BEAUTIFUL SONGS OF KANISHK SETH
Kanishk Seth’s ethereal discography includes soulful pieces such as “Aaane ko Hai Khaab,” which talks about waiting for the one you genuinely love.
With a blend of electronic music and Indian instrumentation, this song features dreamy and modulated voices, exquisitely beautiful and simple lyricism, and a blend of electronic music and Indian instrumentation.
Ki Jaana, Dil Jogia, and Gum Huye Hum are three more songs from his catalog that are well worth checking out.
RADAR: THE INDIE HEAVEN
Indie music is a kaleidoscope mirror that reflects so many various perspectives on musical compositions that it’s impossible not to fall in love with it. They are deserving of all the attention.
One of the nicest things that have ever occurred to music fans is Spotify creating a playlist particularly for us Indie fans and putting it out there with the Radar India playlist.
WHY RADAR IS IMPORTANT FOR BUDDING ARTISTS
Yes, gatekeeping your favorite artists sounds good, but it’ll be even better if we can all work together to put them where the spotlight shines.
Discovering the Local Symbols, Twin Strings, Shadow and light, and Abhilasha Sinha, through the RADAR playlists has been a true eye-opener.
Making a playlist is a love language, and it feels like Spotify is writing a love letter to those of us who love music.
