The content we consume puts a huge impact on our aspirations. These aspirations lead to the foundation of modern age successful brands. Another interesting impact is that the pandemic also led people to think more about their mental health and how these apps have a huge role to play in that.

Many online users are now realising the psychological changes that can happen because of the high smartphone usage and they are looking for ways to improve this. Among these, deleting addictive apps is a great option and to give you insights about the new trend, here’s a lit of apps which users deleted most in 2023.

Social Media

The data shows that Instagram was the most deleted app in 2023. Snapchat, Telegram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Tiktok were the other apps to follow. As compared to these apps, the numbers for WhatsApp and WeChat are fairly less. Threads which was launched by Meta in 2023 saw a whopping 100 million users just in five days but it has experienced an 80% drop in daily active users since the launch.

More about the research

Nine most popular social media networks were analysed in this report over 12 months to examine how many times ‘how to delete (my) account’ was searched per month on average. Later it was equated by calculating these specific searches each month per 1,00,000.
