4. Little Women

To date, there have been seven film adaptations of Louisa May Alcott’s novel Little Women. Greta Gerwig wrote and directed the latest film, which stars Bob Odenkirk, Chris Cooper, Eliza Scanlen, Emma Watson, Florence Pugh, James Norton, Laura Dern, Louis Garrel, Meryl Streep, Saoirse Ronan, Timothée Chalamet, and Tracy Letts and was released in 2019. Gerwig has been hailed for giving this classic a new lease on life and leaving the audience wanting more.

5. Pride and Prejudice

Pride And Prejudice, another Jane Austen novel on this list, features Keira Knightley as Elizabeth Bennet, the protagonist. The film follows four young women in the Regency Era as they navigate love and relationships. It’s worth noting that the 1995 BBC adaptation (with Jennifer Ehle and Colin Firth) is available on YouTube in six parts.
