The Darul Uloom Deoband, a well-known Islamic seminary has issued an advisory for Eid-Ul-Fitr Namaz and requested all Muslims brethren to offer Namaz at home due to ongoing nationwide lockdown.
Eid-Ul-Fitr likely to be observed on 24th or 25th of May depending on the espial of the crescent.
The advisory says that “If the situation of ongoing lockdown continues to be same and the government does not allow people more than five in numbers to gather, then all the Muslims brethren are requested to offer Namaz at home.”
“People who are not able to offer Namaz given any inevitable circumstances can skip the Eid-Ul-Fitr Namaz. Given the unachievable circumstance ‘the sin of skipping Namaz’ will be expiable.
The seminary has further said, “According to Muslim jurists it is desirable for the person who is not able to Eid-Ul-Fitr Namaz, can offer two or four rak’a Chasht Namaz (elaboratory namaz) individually at home.
