X To Launch X TV App?
Ever since Tesla Chief Elon Musk acquired Twitter (now X), the microblogging platform has undergone a slew of changes including the replacement of the name ‘Twitter’ with ‘X’ and the same replacing its iconic ‘Blue Bird’ logo, as the billionaire envisions it to become an ‘Everything App’.
From revamping its subscription plans to enabling the feature of hiring on the platform, X has come a long way. And now it aims to push the boundaries further by making its foray into Smart TV Apps category and move ‘from the small screen to the big screen’ with the launch of X TV.

Earlier in 2016, when X was still Twitter, the platform had already signed exclusive contracts with the NBA, MLB and NHL to broadcast their games on the platform as part of its push on video.
But with the launch of X TV for Smart TVs, under the stewardship of Musk and X’s CEO Linda Yaccarino, X is likely to compete with the likes of YouTube as it doubles down its push for video streaming not just on the platform but by launching an app for Connected TVs too.

Announcing the launch of X TV via a post on X, Yaccarino mentioned, “From the small screen to the big screen X is changing everything. Soon we’ll bring real-time, engaging content to your smart TVs with the X TV App. This will be your go-to companion for a high-quality, immersive entertainment experience on a larger screen.”
