Google Play Music is all set to be replaced by YouTube Music in December 2020, the internet company announced.

Later this month, Google will not accept any purchases for music on its play store, and from October 2020, Google Play Music will stop working around the globe.
From September 2020, In New Zealand and South Africa, and from October for everywhere else including the USA the users will no longer be able to use the Google Play Music app.

The company said that “Over the last few years, we’ve worked to build a fantastic fan experience on YouTube Music, merging the very best of Google Play Music with the very best of YouTube.”

The new features that come in YouTube Music are assistive playlist creation, new explore tab, collaborative playlists, redesigning the player page on Android, etc.

How to move your music from Google Play Music to YouTube Music

Step 1-Download the YouTube Music app, for iOS or Android.

Step 2-There is a ‘transfer button’ at the top of the screen in both Google Play Music and YouTube Music. Click on this button, it will start moving your uploads, added songs, purchases, subscribed playlists from Google Music to YouTube Music.

This process will take a few minutes or a few hours depending upon the size of your music library.
