What is Peach Fuzz? Why is everyone suddenly talking about it?

Well, if you are someone who is wondering the same, congratulations because you have landed at the perfect link.

Colors hold huge importance in the world of marketing and branding. Especially in this digital age, it is super crucial to have a knowledge of basic color theories to attract the attention of audience. Realizing the same, Pantone Color Institute, the global authority on color trends, announces shade for the upcoming year. This color shade is chosen with research while keeping in mind the way humans are evolving each year. For 2024, Pantone Color Institute, the global authority on color trends, has picked “Pantone 13-1023 Peach Fuzz” as the color for the year.

Why is Peach Fuzz the color of the year 2024?

Pantone’s has picked this colour considering significant cultural moments and psychological impacts. Explaining the reasons for picking this shade, Panton wrote “We are focusing on health and wellbeing, both mental and physical, and cherishing what’s special — the warmth and comfort of spending time with friends and family, or simply taking a moment of time to ourselves. With that in mind, we wanted to turn to a color that could focus on the importance of community and coming together with others.”

For those who don’t know, Pantone’s color shade of the year for 2023 was Viva Magenta. Viva Magenta is close to Barbie’s pink and we all know how Barbie topped the charts and became a trend on social media as well. For 2022, it was Very Peri, a periwinkle blue. Also, this is the 25th anniversary of the Pantone Color of the Year program. Launched in 1999 with the decidedly Zen “Cerulean” blue, every year designers, stylists, brands, and marketers among many others, keep their eye on the color reveal to adopt that for the upcoming year.

Just like every year, brands are looking to hop on the trend of adopting the color of the year. Motorola, Shades By Shan and Ruggable are a few companies that have already launched their limited edition products in this color.
