Taapsee Pannu, renowned for her standout roles in films like ‘Pink’, ‘Judwaa 2’, and ‘Haseen Dilruba’, has carved a distinctive niche in Indian cinema with her powerful performances and versatility. As she celebrates her 37th birthday today, Pannu’s influence extends beyond the silver screen into the world of brand endorsements as well.

With her compelling on-screen presence and critical acclaim, including a Best Actress win for ‘Thappad’, she has become a sought-after name for brands spanning beauty, eyewear, and health drinks. This seamless integration of her cinematic success with her growing role as a brand ambassador for various brands highlights Pannu’s expanding impact and allure in both entertainment and advertising.

The ‘Haseen Dilruba’ actress has been endorsing the homegrown connected lifestyle brand, Noise since 2021. She is the brand ambassador for Noise smartwatches and the face of their digital campaign #ListenToTheNoiseWithin.

In an advertisement for the film, she can be seen shattering the glass ceiling by calling out the people who told her she could not make it in the industry and inspiring others to look beyond the crowd pulling them back.

Sugar

In 2021, Sugar roped in Pannu as their ‘bold and free’ brand ambassador for their campaign, launched simultaneously on television, print, and OOH. Sugar’s #SugarxTaapsee and #BoldAndFree campaign celebrated Pannu’s well-known free-spirited nature.

The campaign was a reminder of the brand’s philosophy of empowering women to be comfortable as themselves and to not give in to societal expectations. The television commercial showed the actress walking without glancing at her reflection in any mirrors.

Women’s Horlicks

In 2017, GSK Consumer Healthcare brand Women’s Horlicks announced the appointment of the actress as its brand ambassador.

In an ad film, the ‘Dunki’ actress was seen portraying the everyday life of a woman in India. She was seen traveling in a local bus, carrying loads of groceries and other everyday work with full energy. The advertisements were aimed at creating awareness about low bone density in women.

Kurkure Masala Munch

PepsiCo India’s snack brand Kurkure had roped in Pannu as their brand ambassador in 2019. After this, the brand began positioning Kurkure as a snack which celebrates new ideas that young homemakers bring to traditional Indian families via its campaign titled- ‘Khayal Toh Chatpata Hai’.

As part of the same, Pannu was seen playing the role of a young female who secured the job of a news anchor but was soon thrown into a frenzy when she shared the news with her relative as the latter suggested her to take up hobbies like singing and painting, only to realise that she was miserable at them both.

Swiss Beauty

The beauty and cosmetics brand, Swiss Beauty announced Pannu as their brand ambassador in 2023.

In their vlog format-inspired advertisement, the brand showcased young people being asked by the cameraman if they knew the celebrity joining them with the initials TP. The people guessed Pannu’s name in one go and then she could be seen shooting the commercial with powerful music playing in the background.

Vogue Eyewear

Vogue Eyewear, the premium global brand owned by Italy’s eyewear company Luxottica roped in Pannu as their brand ambassador for India in 2021.

She was a part the brand’s ‘Keep Playing’ campaign where was seen channeling her free-spirited nature and asking the audience to slow down and enjoy life.

LAIQA Period Pal App

In December 2021, Pannu partnered with LAIQA, a premium and sustainable menstrual care brand to launch its app- Period Pal and came onboard as its Co-Founder and Chief Innovation Officer.

As part of the same, she also featured in a campaign film of Period Pal wherein she was seen promoting LAIQA Period Pal App as a one-stop period best friend for individuals by getting real-time and accurate notifications about one’s menstrual cycle.

Gynoveda
A year later, she also joined Ayurvedic femtech brand- Gynoveda as their brand ambassador , following which she was seen talking about women’s menstrual cycle, issues, taboos, and PCOS amongst other things and helping women tackle their menstruation health with Ayurvedic medicines.

NIVEA India

In 2022, NIVEA India also rolled out its summer campaign titled #SkincarePeNoBreak which was conceptualised by Publicis One Touch and featured Pannu as the brand ambassador. The ad film focused on the message that one does not need to put a break on their skincare during summer and launched the new NIVEA Gel Body Lotion.

Reebok

After Reebok was purchased by Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail (ABFRL) from adidas in India, Pannu was onboarded as the new brand face of Reebok. As a result, she also featured in their 2023 commercial titled- ‘I’m the New’. The campaign aimed to create a call to action for everyone who wants to pave a path for themselves trailing away from the stereotypes.
