The guideline from 15 april Ministry of Home Afaairs banned E-commerce companies from delivering non-essential items. The further notice reported by prominent The Indian Express, “In continuation of the ministry of home affairs order no.40-3-2020-DM-I(A) Dated 15 April 2020 and 16 April 2020 and in the exercise of the powers conferred under section 10(2)(I) OF THE DISASTER MANAGEMENT ACT, THE UNDERSIGNED, IN HIS CAPACITY AS CHAIRPERSON, National Executive Committee, hereby orders to exclude” a sub-clause which allowed generation “E-commerce companies” and said that “vehicles used by e-commerce operators will be allowed to ply with necessary permissions.” It is collected from the sources that pressure is put from the various traders including the Confederation Of All India Traders(CAIT). Also on Sunday, CAIT Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal tweeted,” 7 crore traders of India @TEAMCAIT express gratitude to PM Shri @narendramodi HM Shri@Amit shah Defence Minister Shri @rajnathsungh CIM Shri @Piyushgoyal UDM @hardeepSPuri for the notification for prohibiting to trade in non-essential commodities.” Therefore the respective suggestive options are promoting the delivery item which are essentials till the last date of lockdown.
