Most awaited sedan of this year is here. The all-new Verna is powered by new 120 hp turbo-petrol engine, a twin-clutch automatic, and plenty of new features.

Introduction

The new 2020 Verna is quite similar to the old one in terms of design and ergonomics. But, the new headlamps are more appealing than before which makes it sportier and attractive.

The new 1.0-litre turbo GDI engine is youngest of all having massive 120 hp power sitting inside mated with twin-clutch automatic gearbox.you will also get two more engine option -115 hp natural aspirated petrol and another is diesel produces same 115 hp and the best part is you will get automatic with all engine options. Honestly, I have never seen this type of flexibility in my life.

New 1.0 liter Engine

The new 1.0 the three-cylinder engine is so smooth and well balanced that you will forget about four-cylinder engines. The mated twin-clutch gearbox is fun to drive even in heavy traffic. Meanwhile, the engine sometimes feels laggy because of the turbo lag at some revs but the moment you hit 3000 rpm then the response from engine s out of the world. Verna touches 100 in just 13.09 sec which is around 2 sec more than Skoda Rapid.

The dashboard is fresh and new with an all-new 8.0-inch touchscreen which looks more appealing and sharper than the new honda city embedded with BlueLink app, allows you to connect your car you’re your phone with different operating options.you also get Apple Carplay and Android auto. The all-new fully digital the instrument cluster looks similar then BMW instrumental panel loaded with all the features you could expect from Hyundai. The sunroof isn’t that large like-new Honda city nor the space for rear passenger is adequate but the ventilated seats(only in front) are first in a class feature that ticks one more box and the wireless charging.

Summary

This All-new Verna is meant for all. If you are an enthusiast then go for 1.0 petrol turbo and if you are an eco-friendly driver with calm driving nature then go for naturally aspirated petrol churning out 115 ps power and if you are a long runner then go for diesel which produces same 115 ps of power and the comfort and specs remain same mostly the same depends on the variants with different price tags.

The range starts at 9.31 lakhs manual transmission to 15.10 lakhs diesel Auto.(Ex-showroom, pan-India).
