‘A big success’ or a ‘successfully staged surrender-arrest’?
UP Police has their neck on the line after the series of fiascos that took place along with emerging conspiracies on the whole ‘catch-and-catch’ episode, here’s how:
Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav raised questions around whether it was a capture or surrender. “We listen that the most wanted of the Kanpur-Kand is presently in police care. On the off chance that genuine, at that point the government ought to clarify whether this was a yield or capture. Moreover, his call records ought to be made open so the nexus can be uncovered,” the previous UP Chief Serve tweeted.
“We couldn’t capture him (Vikas Dubey) indeed after such a tremendous occurrence and he kept voyaging around for five days. This ought to be examined,” tweeted Amitabh Thakur, an Indian Police Benefit (IPS) officer posted in Uttar Pradesh.
Prabhat Mishra, in the interim, was taken in remand from Faridabad on Wednesday when police struck the premises of lodging after its CCTV film appeared a conceal man suspected to be Vikas Dubey. In like manner, a serious manhunt has been propelled within the Indo-Nepal border zone in coordination with Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) faculty and in wilderness regions on the border with Forest Department authorities, he said.
Another opprobrium was instigated by the ‘warrantless’ arrest of Sharjeel Usmani by the UP Police in Azamgarh on Wednesday:
Several voices erupted when the ‘Law Enforcers’ failure to arrest Vikas Dubey became conspicuous right after when Anti-CAA Activist and Aligarh Muslim University student Sharjeel Usmani was taken under a ‘warrantless’ arrest by the long arms of the law. It has been asserted that the deliberate performative proxy arrest was just an opportunistic stunt of ‘kidnapping’ and ‘witch-hunting’ student activists by the UP Police that has caused Justice Obstruction.
As per an Amar Ujala report, Sharjeel Usmani was captured by an Anti-Terror Squad group from Lucknow. He has allegedly been booked for affectation anti-CAA, NRC nonconformists and conveying incendiary discourses.
