Baramulla. 9th April.
An encounter broke out on 8th April between militants and security forces in Baramulla district’s Sopore area. The encounter continued for 14 hours, leaving a militant dead and a soldier injured. The house in which the militants were hiding was set on fire by the troops. The militant was identified as Sajadb Nawab Dar of the Jaish-e-Mohammad. Soon after the encounter, a large number of people gather to attend the militants funeral. The J&K police have a registered a case against the people for violating the lockdown protocol. The FIR has registered to understand (FIR No. 70/2020 US 188 IPC).
