According to the BBC, the Grand Mosque is the world’s largest mosque. In 2011, King Abdullah ordered a huge extension to more than triple the size of the mosque. The same thing was done in order to accommodate 2 million worshippers. The sacred mosque has undergone significant architectural renovations over the years, making it one of the most expensive buildings ever constructed.

2. Abraj Al Bait, Mecca

The Abraj Al-Bait is a government-owned complex of seven towering hotels with a massive clock tower offering a panoramic view of the city. The building, also known as the Makkah Royal Clock, is part of the King Abdulaziz Endowment Project. The tower caused controversy since it was built atop the Ottoman-era Ajyad Fortress, an Islamic historical site.

The Tokamak reactor in Cadarache, France, is the only research facility on the list, and it employs a torus shape to generate enormous magnetic fields in order to stabilize and contain plasma. There are presently several reactors around the world.

Aquarium, which features the world’s second-largest oceanarium.

He sparked some debate with how he spent the billions, but you can’t deny how enthralling the end result is.
