Maharaj will be the debut movie of Junaid Khan, the son of the famous Bollywood actor Aamir Khan. Directed by Siddharth Malhotra, the movie follows Karsandas Mulji, a social reformer and advocate of women’s rights. Set in 1862, it is based on true events around the libel case. It shows Mulji’s acts of courage during the time when India had only three universities.
5. Chandu Champion

Based on the real-life story of Paralympic gold medalist Murlikant Petkar, Chandu Champion gives Kartik Aaryan a new role to shine. The movie shows the journey of the athlete as he faces unimaginable hurdles in his path but does not break down or stop from achieving his dreams. With the direction spearheaded by Kabir Khan, the movie will be released in cinemas on 14th June.

6. I Used to be Funny

Based on the life of Lady Jane, famously known as “Nine Day’s Queen,” for getting the throne of England and Ireland for 9 days in the 16th Century, the drama series shows the journey and adventure of the noblewoman during the time when she was viewed as a threat to the Crown. She must try to protect herself from the execution that seems to be following right behind her. The series will be streaming on Amazon Prime. It seems like a refreshing series, especially if you like period dramas like Bridgerton.
