Oppo launches its first-ever smartwatch in India with two different variants

OPPO has launched its first-ever smartwatch with WearOS by Google in India and it comes with all the premium smartwatch features such as heart rate monitoring and advanced health tracking. There are two variants – 41mm and 46mm which are available on Amazon, Flipkart, and on OPPO stores. It has an uncanny resemblance to the Apple watch.

Here are the key differences and similarities between the OPPO Watch 41mm & 46mm.

●      Design and Display

The body of OPPO Watch 41mm and 46mm is made of aluminium alloy with curved design in corners. It has a matte finish to add to the premium appeal of both the variants. On 46mm variant, there is a heart rate sensor and charging pogo pins located at the bottom and on the right edge, both variant have a home and multi-functional secondary button.

The main difference between the two variants is the face of the displays. The 41mm variant equipped with a 1.6-inch (320×360) AMOLED display whereas 46mm variant boasts a bigger dual-curved 1.91-inch (402×476) AMOLED display.

●      Internals

Both 41mm and 46mm variant is powered by a dual-chip endurance system with Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 and Ambiq Micro Apollo 3 co-processor. The OPPO Watch has 1GB RAM + 8GB internal storage. With the addition of Wear OS, the OPPO Watch offers access to Google Apps, Play Store and Google Assistant. Other features of both variants are that they include the built-in GPS and are water-resistant.

●      Sensors & Activity Tracking

All of the sensors including accelerometer, gyroscope, barometer, ambient light and optical heart rate sensor are featured in both 41mm and 46mm variant. These sensors enable sleep monitoring, continuous 24/7 heart rate tracking and sedentary reminders.

The Google Fit app is pre-installed in the smartwatch which helps you to track activities such as outdoor walk, outdoor cycling, swimming, fat burn runs, etc.

●      Battery

The smaller 41mm variant is packed with a 300 mAh battery whereas in 46mm variant comes with a 430 mAh battery. Both watches support the two modes – smart mode and power saver mode. The 41mm variant will offer a 24hrs of battery life in smart mode. On the other hand, the 46mm variant offers up to 36hrs of battery life in smart mode.

The two OPPO Watch supports the VOOC flash charging which is capable to charge the watch from 0% to 100% in 75 minutes but OPPO claims that 41mm variant charges up to 30% and 46mm charges up to 46% in 15 minutes.

●      Price and Colours

There is a big difference in prices between the two variants. The 41mm OPPO Watch is priced at Rs 14,999 while the 46mm OPPO Watch is priced at Rs 19,990 in India.
The colour option for 41mm variant is Black, Pink Gold and Silver Mist whereas the 46mm is available in Black and Glossy Gold.
