After much allegations from both Center and States on the Company for a falsified claim, a rebutting statement has now come from Patanjali. The Company states that they never claimed that they were making medicine or a cure of any kind for Coronavirus. “We never said the medicine (coronil) can cure or control corona, we said that we made medicines and used them in clinical controlled trials which cured corona patients. There is no confusion in it,” told Acharya Balkrishna, CEO Patanjali, to news agency ANI.

“We never found the cure for Coronavirus neither have we claimed for that. Instead, we only performed a trial of the medicine on Coronavirus patients and it showed positive results.” He added, denying the claim of having sold any “Corona Kit”.

Last week on 23rd June, Tuesday, Patanjali launched its “Corona Cure” and claimed that their first Ayurvedic medicine Coronil, can not only prevent Coronavirus but cure the patients also. Moving ahead the Company also claimed its success and went out with its statistics of 100 patients on which the newly found medicine was tested. 65% were cured within 3 days, and 100% within 7 as the claim suggested.

However, not after a much delay soon after the launch, its advertising was stopped with a legal notice to the Company by Ayush Ministry as they stated that the Company didn’t mention any Coronavirus Cure while obtaining the license but an immunity booster.
