The new member of Redmi Note 9 series has been launched in India. Redmi Note 9, is the third member in the series after Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max. It is a successor of Redmi Note 8 which was the best selling Android smartphone of 2020. The big battery of 5020 mAh of Redmi Note 9 is 25 per cent larger than the battery of Redmi Note 8. The phone will give a stiff competition to the big names like Samsung Galaxy A21s, Vivo S1 Pro and OPPO A9 2020.

Camera -Redmi Note 9 comes with a quad-camera setup comprising of 48 megapixels Samsung ISOCELL BRIGHT GM1 sensor, an 8 megapixels ultra-wide-angle sensor, a 2 megapixels macro lens and a 2 megapixels depth sensor and a punch-hole selfie camera of 13 megapixels on the upper left corner of the phone. There is a fingerprint scanner below the camera sensors.
Processor -The phone is equipped by the MediaTek Helio G85 Processor and it is said that this chipset is better than the current Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor. Redmi Note 9 has a similar aura balance design like Redmi Note 9 Pro.
Display -Redmi has used a 6.53-inch full HD+ dot display with a screen resolution of 1080×2340 pixels and comes in an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 with the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The phone provides the connectivity options includes the 4G Volte, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, USB Type-C Port and 3.5 mm headphone jack. Besides this, there is an accelerometer, IR blaster, ambient light and a proximity sensor present in it.
Battery – Redmi Note 9 is packed with a massive battery of 5020 mAh supported by 22.5W fast charger. Furthermore, it also supports the 9W reverse charging technique. There are three storage variants of the phone, the 4GB RAM + 64GB , 4GB RAM + 128GB and 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage options.
Prices and Availability -The price of the three variants are Rs 11,999 for 4GB RAM + 64GB, Rs 13,499 for 4GB RAM + 128GB and Rs 14,999 for 6GB+128GB storage variant. Redmi Note 9 is available in Arctic White, Pebble Grey and Aqua Green colours option. The first sale of Redmi Note 9 will be held on July 24 at 12 p.m via Mi.com and Amazon.
