The world will remember this tyranny forever and images of distressed farmers will be etched in our hearts forever which will produce horrific memories for generations to come. Bill is said to have focused on corporatization’, ‘cartelization’.
Several farmer organizations like All India Kisan Sangharsh Coordination Committee (AIKSCC), All India Kisan Mahasangh (AIKM), and Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) are registering their protest against farm bills as ‘Bharat Bandh’ on September 25th.
The BJP’s own BKS General Secretary Badri Narayan Chaudhary made a similar comment stating “legislation has been drafted by people who are not aware of the grassroots reality.”
A bill was passed in Parliament using division with the opposition on mute forcefully by the rulers of the Indian government. Farmer bodies have expressed apprehension that the three bills, passed in Parliament, will pave a way for dismantling the minimum support price (MSP) system, leaving them at the “mercy” of big corporates. Indian farms after this bill will now be open for these behemoth agri-business firms. Punjab, where 31 farmer bodies have come together to support the call for Bharat Bandh, farmers have already started a three-day rail blockade against the farm bills.
Given the farmers’ protests and the Bharat Bandh, Northern Railway has cancelled some trains. Delhi-Chandigarh bus service has been stopped in Ambala because of the farmers’ protest.
Several states like Punjab, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, West Bengal, etc . are in harmony with the Bharat Band.
Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tej Pratap Yadav joined it while sitting atop a tractor while Tejashwi Yadav drives it, during the protest against agriculture bills. Rahul Gandhi claimed that new agriculture laws will enslave our farmers. Some have concerns over the fact that if the implementation of the bill fails, no one can safeguard our farms, annadattas, and food system from a Neo-Company Raj.
In the south, members of the Karnataka State Farmers’ Association held a protest near Bommanahalli on the Karnataka-Tamil Nadu highway.
When BJP came to power it was with promises of acche din. The fake promises that the golden era in the Indian empire will never end but now everyone is in grief and dissatisfaction including farmers, servicemen, businessmen, students, common people. All government did was fake assurance and narrative polishing certain agenda.
All they did regarding the protest was to deploy security at the Delhi-Uttar Pradesh border in the Chilla area of the national capital. Police personnel has also been deployed. not just they try to control and disperse the protest they did water shedding and lathi charge on them as well. Don’t we already know what the police, the one who ensures people’s protection in this country doing these days?
Farmers are the backbone of our society and the farmer bills passed by the Union government said to be a step in the wrong direction.
It’s time we all stand for what’s in favour of our farmers.
The mainstream media might talk about them if they hold the placards in or against Deepika Padukone, Rhea Chakraborty, or Sushant Singh Rajput because for the formers the TRP of those news channels is more important their lives and livelihood.
When the entire mainstream media will show you chats of Deepika and Shraddha ignoring our distress farmers. We at TSA will provide you with every update on the farmers’ protest against the farm bills. Stay tuned.
