TOPSHOT - Relatives attend a COVID-19 victim's burial under the rain, at the Nossa Senhora Aparecida cemetery in Manaus, Amazonas state, Brazil, on January 13, 2021, amid the novel coronavirus pandemic. - In Manaus there is a shortage of hospital beds as cases increased at an alarming rate. The city, with two million inhabitants, had already experienced nightmarish scenes in April and May, with mass graves and refrigerated trucks parked in front of hospitals to pile up the dead. But the situation is even worse in the beginning of 2021, since between January 1 and 11, at least 1,979 people were admitted to hospitals due to the virus, against 2,128 for the whole month of April, the worst since the start of the pandemic. On Tuesday alone Brazil recorded more than 17,00 deaths due to Coronavirus. (Highest single-day death toll of the pandemic)

The increasing pandemic ensembling upon the health of Brazilians and collapsing the whole health care system.
According to the health secretaries of the National Association :
“Sadly the anemic rollout of vaccines and the slow pace at which they have becoming available still doesn’t suggest that this scenario will be reversed in the short term”

The current situation of Brazil is that virus is spreading from one major city to others and the recent surge in new cases due to a new variant of virus known as P1 in the Amazon rainforest city of Manaus.
This new Variant is now surging out in 17 out of 27 Brazil’s State. The new Variant was also detected in more than two dozen countries throughout the entire world.
Studies warn us that it is more contagious than the original strain of coronavirus and might re-infect those who had already COVID-19.
So far as Brazil is using Chinese manufactured Coronavac and Oxford University’s AstraZeneca. Unfortunately, the people who had recovered from the virus might still be at risk and possibly the Brazilian Government will be imposing more restrictions very soon.
