1. VIR DAS
Before he appeared in Bollywood movies such as Delhi Belly, Vir began a career in stand-up comedy. With his Netflix special Abroad Understanding, he gained immense popularity. Vir is especially recognized for his wit packed with a sense of humour. His use of satirical comments for producing comedy is appreciable. He has that potential to make you laugh and think hard.

2. KANAN GILL
Gill is known for the YouTube series Pretentious Movie Reviews, in which he reviews bad yesteryear Bollywood movies, where he was accompanied by his friend and stand-up comedian Biswa Kalyan Rath. He has highlighted the double standard movies of the ’80s and also satirized melodramatic films with his perfect use of wit and humour. He also had his own comedy special Keep it Real, and this is some worth watching. I am damn sure you’ll not pause until the last video.

3. BISWA KALYAN RATH
From being an IT graduate to become a stand-up comedian, Biswa has covered a long way. Biswa became famous after his show on YouTube Pretentious Movie Reviews along with Kanan Gill. Biswa has also done multiple individual shows like Biswa In Your Face and Biswa Mast Aadmi as well as hosted ad appeared in many AIB shows. His has given high-spirited performances in Stand up Specials which is commendable. Don’t forget to watch it.

4. ABISH MATHEW
Abish is one of the most popular Indian stand-up comedians who is known for his funny enactments, song lyrics and online shows on YouTube. He is known for his work in AIB and also for his talk show Son of Abish where he invites other comedians for the interview and fun games. Abish’s use of humour and wit is of the next level; he is the finest comedian you’ll ever find. Not to forget he have over 1 million subscribers on is channel Son of Abish.

5. KAPIL SHARMA
If I am not wrong, Kapil Sharma is the most famous comedian in every house of India. In 2016 Ormax media also rated him most popular Indian television personality. His versatility is fully observed in his shows like The Kapil Sharma Show, Comedy Nights with Kapil and Family Time with Kapil. He has also worked in a romance-comedy film Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon which was released in 2015.

6. ZAKIR KHAN
Zakir Khan gained fame after winning Comedy Centrals India’s 3rd best stand-up comedian competition. He earned more popularity after working closely with AIB news show- On Air with AIB. He has his own show on Amazon Prime titled Haq Se Single. Zakir is ruling hearts with more than 1 million subscribers on his YouTube channel. He is one of the best comedians we have.

7. AMIT TANDON
An Engineer by qualification, Amit Tandon, aka The Married Guy has started doing comedy, not as a solemn profession. He was just executing his hobby but his observational humour and his skill to make people move made him more popular among people. He has that potential to connect with his spectator and what more requirements do you need to become an excellent stand-up comedian.
He is one of the three Indian comedians on Netflix. The mega-hit comedy event series Comedians of the World made him steal the spotlight on the global platform as he took the stage by storm. His use of humour and wit make him stand out from others.

8. ANUBHAV SINGH BASSI
Anubhav Singh Bassi’s path was similar to that of a roller coaster, from becoming a lawyer, a UPSC aspirant, to opening a food business with friends to finally ending up on stage as a stand-up comedian. In reality, his theme of humour always revolves around his career decisions.
His first YouTube video, Cheating, went viral, and then there was no turning back. He, with his simple way of narration and themes, focused on everyday life has become an instant hit among the spectators and people are always looking forward to more from this talented man.

Literally, Sebastian carries a versatile personality. A comedian, musician and filmmaker who, as a stand-up comedian, has toured the world and produced many comedy specials. It all started in 2014 when he wrote and directed a season of The Living Room. At the age of 15, he began making his own films and had directed 12 shorts and two feature films by the age of 23. He produced content through his own production studio called Super Human Studioz for his YouTube transformation. Vipul Goel, a graduate of electrical engineering from IIT Bombay, is a pioneer of clean comedy with his content focused on basic themes that he shapes in his way and narrates in his hilarity-bringing style.
His observational humour, improvisational comedy and satires are always on point. He’s sometimes called Indian Seinfeld because of his observational comedy.
