Thus, a postgraduate diploma holder can expect better opportunities in all sectors. Finance is a lucrative career and can be translated into various roles. 

PGDM in Finance is a two-year diploma course that offers a detailed curriculum on financial management skills, specialization in Human resources, Finance, and international business and marketing. However, this course can be completed in one year, depending on the institute you choose to study. It is one of the most preferred courses by students who want to pursue a career in Finance after graduation, as it is one of the highest-paying careers. 

This degree allows the students to work in various industries, including the banking sector, IT sector, startups, and many others. PGDM graduates have excellent job opportunities in almost every industry that involves working capital management, critical learning, international and financial mergers, etc.

Eligibility-

To pursue PGDM in financial management, you must complete your finance stream graduation, preferably with a minimum score of 50% in the final year examination. However, the admissions process in various universities varies. 

Every student who wishes to pursue this degree must fulfill the eligibility criteria listed below-

  • A graduation degree in any stream from a recognized university.
  • Minimum 50% marks in the final year.
  • A few universities take admission based on merit, while others conduct specific entrance examinations or ask for CAT or XAT scores.
  • Some universities also ask for internships and work experience while shortlisting candidates.

PGDM Course Structure-

PGDM in finance management is curated for students who want to learn about different aspects of financial management, including merger acquisition, International Finance, and capital management. This course makes the student a well-rounded and skilled finance professional who can manage their responsibilities and duties as a finance manager. 

A PGDM degree is designed to teach them about the processes involved in preparing the balance sheet, minimizing cost, analyzing cost centers, and maximizing the organization’s profits. Every year colleges and universities update their curriculum depending on the changes in the finance market. 

PGDM is a two-year degree course that is divided into four semesters. Every semester you need to pick an elective subject along with the major subjects to provide you with a specialization. You can choose among the options such as Business intelligence, Marketing, HR, Finance and HR, etc. The course is designed to provide all the knowledge about financial analysis, including finance policies, corporate finance management, investment, and risk dynamics. 

Scope and Job opportunities after PGDM in Finance
