How Brands Across Categories Took Their Shot At Being Pally With Audiences This Friendship Day

The online food delivery space has become an important part of our culture. Whether it is a special occasion like a festival or daily office meals, online food services are now preferred for all our needs. Analyzing the data from these apps can also reveal a lot about the food preferences of a particular region, and every year, these platforms share some insights about how the year went and what were the most ordered food items throughout the year. Zomato has recently revealed their annual report on food trends in 2023, and let’s have a look at the interesting data:

Zomato

-Biryani was the most ordered dish, with over 10.09 crore orders in 2023, followed by 7.45 crore pizza orders and over 4.55 crore Noodle bowls.
-Bengaluru topped breakfast orders, while Delhi ordered most late-night orders.
-Bengaluru also gave Zomato the largest single order of the year, worth Rs 46,273. Another customer from Bengaluru sent 1,389 gift orders valuing Rs 6.6 lakh in total.
-A Mumbai resident became the “nation’s biggest foodie” with 3,580 orders in 2023.

Note that Swiggy’s data also revealed that Biryani was the most-ordered dish on the platform. This clearly proves India’s love for Biryani.
