First Impression: MG Hector Plus

The MG Hector plus will be the extended version MG Hector which is currently in sale in India and also got so many bookings at the time of launch. The SUV now has a stretched-out glass element around the C-Pillar. The Bumper is quiet new with modified cosmetics changes in order to differentiate from Hector. The dimension will remain the same but length is increased by 65mm.

Interior

The Hector Plus gets three-row seating arrangements with individual captain seats in the middle row with individual armrest. Though the seven-seater version will be also there, but not now.

The dashboard is similar to the 5-seater Hector. Typically, you get the multi-function steering along with analogue instrumental cluster with 7.0-MID, The The 10.4-inch display is still the best display in the segment with all the necessarily techs like Android Auto and Android car play. The Infinity audio system, ambient lighting, and the sunroof are still the specs you could mad over.

The Hector Plus will be offered in three trims-super, smart and sharp.the top trim will come with LED headlamps and DRLs, heated wing mirrors, front and rear parking sensors, powered front seats for the adjustments and hands-free opening function for boot along with plenty of safety features like six airbags, ABS, ESC, traction control, hill-hold assist, a tyre pressure monitor and a 360-degree camera.

Under the Hood

There will be one 170 ps, 2.0-litre diesel brain mated with a 6-speed manual gearbox and another will of 143 ps,1.5-litre turbo-petrol mated with 6-speed DCT automatic the third one is same petrol engine paired with 48V mild-hybrid system mated with 6-speed manual transmission which will be offered only in top trim “sharp”

Expected Price and it’s Rival

The Hector Plus price expected to be 80,000 costlier than 5-seater hector on every variant which means prices will around 15.85-18.80 lakh ex-showroom.

The Toyota Innova Crysta will be the direct rival as it is ruling the road since long along with Mahindra XUV500.
