Trump repeatedly called Swift “beautiful,” but doesn’t like her politics ― and thinks she might be faking it, according to a new book, “Apprentice In Wonderland.”
“She is liberal, or is that just an act?” Trump asked author Ramin Setoodeh. “She’s legitimately liberal? It’s not an act? It surprises me that a country star can be successful being liberal.”
Colbert said Trump seems surprised that anyone who is “beautiful” might not like him, so he offered the former president an example.
“Has he never met his wife?” Colbert asked.
