It is perhaps the most difficult task for celebrities to handle the situations when they ought not to speak without brains. That pretty much includes press conferences or talks with media outlets or social media platforms where they are faced with a range of invasive questions which might or might not concern them.
But not every icon succeeds. Sometimes, they end up making absurd, awkward and dumb statements which come as a shock to everyone. The situations, other times, become so inappropriate that not even the finest of apologies could recuperate them of their criticism.
So, here is TSA presenting 8 dumbest, embarrassing and stupidest statements by celebrities.
1. Sonam Kapoor
“Indian men do not have a fashion sense unless they are gay”.
We are very sorry if Sonam Kapoor considers herself as an ultimate fashion enthusiast. But, this certainly seems like an utterly unfounded and absurd statement when we watch around us so many male fashion icons who are definitely not gay.
2. Brooke Shields
“Smoking kills and if you are killed you have lost an important part of your life.”
Now, what does that even mean? This statement could lead as a popular statutory warning in some comedy shows perhaps. But, this beauty was definitely without a brain at the moment of making such a statement.
3. Elon Musk
“The coronavirus pandemic is dumb”.
Why, in the world, would Elon Musk say so? He must know that it does not matter his name is Musk, he still has put on a mask in public and that signifies coronavirus panic. Ummm..he seems to have a different perspective when he goes on to say “Fear is the mind-killer”. Now, we don’t know how much of it holds true.
4. Kangana Ranaut
“Ye farmers bhi vahi aatanki hai, CAA se bhi citizenship nahin gai, magar inhone khoon ki nadiyan baha di”.
The “Queen” actress is notoriously famous for his controversial statements nowadays which are not only dumb, and embarrassing but also cynical. Comparing the protesting farmers to terrorists here is not logical in any way at all.
5. Harbhajan Singh
“Do we really need a vaccine?”
Another one of coronavirus concerning statements on the list. The famous cricket player came out with this stupid statement by giving a mathematical explanation about how Indian recovery rate is 93.6% without a vaccine. So, no need for a vaccine. Seems like his calculation could do good on-pitch but not for the health of over a billion population when the recovery rate is well short of hundred.
6. Mike Cameron
“The sun has been there for 500, 600 years”.
Mike Cameron is certainly many things- an aspiration at the most. But here, Mike was just one thing- wrong. Of course, even as a sportsman we need not be a major in astrology to know that this ball of fire is tanning those below it for billion of years and more.
7. Christina Aguilera
“So, where is the Cannes Film Festival being held this year?”
That’s definitely a dumb one. Or she probably seems confused as to why they choose France every year over other countries.
8. Mallika Sherawat
“I feel that my life is the same as that of Obama. I am from Haryana. But I changed the rules of the industry with my work and so has Obama.”
We are not making it up. She said it. This has to be the most awkward statement with the most illogical and problematic analogy ever drawn.
So, these were some of the dumbest statements made by celebrities which even they might want to forget. Keep checking our entertainment section for more such lists.
