As it has been a month since the commencement of the farmer’s protest, oftentimes rumours have successfully taken over people’s minds and have managed to completely distract from the root issue. The most recent rumour that took the streets was that the farmers are treated with ‘luxuries’ like pizzas and wifi, hinting that the field has completely transformed and it has become rather an event of joy.
On the contrary, the reality is something else, in the midst of chilly December, farmers are dealing with rather adverse conditions. Lack of sanitation, bedding, winter clothes, etc, suggesting that what we know, is just the tip of the iceberg.
